The door is gone
A downloadable game
Hello :) I'm Rods, a game developer trying to share some of the ideas I have in mind. I decided to challenge myself by making a horror game each week to try out different mechanics and different lores, with the hope of someday making a bigger commercial game :)
This game is about a man who wakes up in the middle of the night only to discover that his room no longer has windows or a door. Now he has to find a way out of this nightmare.
This is the first game of my challenge and my FIRST HORROR GAME EVER. It's a basic attempt to test some mechanics, learn more about blender, and play around with a few jump scares. Hope you all enjoy it! Follow me for more weekly games where I'll be trying out new mechanics or lore each week :)
Credits : All the game audio effects are from https://www.zapsplat.com/
How to play :
Just extract the .zip and run the .exe :)
Playtime : Less than 5 minutes haha.

Nice game looking forward to play more of your games
Included this in my 3 random horror game video!
For being your first horror game, this was not bad! Could use some more stuff as this did seem to only consists of collecting and reading notes and escaping. But for being a first, quite good! Made a video on it.
I really didn’t expect someone to make a video about my game hahaha, thanks!! I tried to keep the game as simple as possible. Next week's game is going to have more stuff. Cool video, subscribed!!
Amazing job for your first horror game! made me jump when the boxes fell. :3
Thanks :) I thought the falling boxes were silly, but I’m glad someone fell for them hahaha.
Nice very good short game well done!
Thanks!! Glad someone liked it.
Short, spooky and direct - good game.
I am always fascinated when first time horror game developers make such good quality. I liked this. Although, it is short and it does not provide the player with tons of content, I think for the start this is what you should aim for - simple menu, simple end screen, simple gameplay of collecting notes and a little mystery.
Best of luck with the future games!
Thanks!! This feedback made me really happy haha.
Yeah, I tried to keep it as simple as possible. Glad it worked! Thanks for the feedback.
